i almost did not come back. a few days in paris cured me of that nagging vagary.

proof that you can do a whole lot in 2 weeks. we were amazingly lucky with the weather as august was generally crap in the region and storms came through just as we left. we saw new babies, old friends, flamingoes, horses galloping on the shore, an unidentified military ceremony, the medicins du monde tents near the Seine, and a bunch of FN posters on the highway among many many very old buildings. we left paris at 7 am on friday morning and thanks to 40 km of congestion on the A2 we got home a bit before midnight. not really ideal when you have to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes…
more on paris after the requisite 200 emails to check and hopefully zero voice mail. i can’t believe i have a class tomorrow already…
