urban areas are often a site for constant taking and sparse giving.
sometimes i think berlin is one of those transitory spots where people choose to only smell and live off of the sweet side of decay.
and sometimes i think, like an optimistic yet unhappy investor, that there is something pulsing, beating, feral here.
out of the urban areas i’ve lived in, berlin rates an oxygenated green, keeping it in the running for an overall high score.
so yesterday i thought it would be nice to contribute to one of the things i enjoy about my neighborhood.
it was pretty cool. i got to use a saw and a staple gun! and plant things for the first time in my life. my carpentry tool/botanist vocabulary is lacking so i probably seemed a bit mentally challenged.
if you are walking by dieffenbachstr., please talk to the plants so they don’t die. and go make your neigborhood beautiful too.
